I am a working mom coach, mentor, strategist, wife, and mother.
I empower working moms to design a life they love - both at work and at home.
I know a thing or two about the working mom struggle.
A couple of years into my motherhood journey, I was stuck in a job that drained me. My mental health took a toll, and so did my parenting. I wanted to work, but felt guilty for spending so much time away from my daughter.
I missed spending alone time with my husband and friends but thought this was just how it had to be in the early years of motherhood.
I knew I needed a career change, but didn't know where to even start.
I wanted more but didn't quite know what.
And then I had an epiphany.
I got a message from a friend who had been going through a difficult motherhood period. She told me that our conversations had helped her get unstuck, and that little by little, she was able to take back control of her life.
That message changed everything for me. I realized that this was what was missing from my life: helping other mothers live the life of their dreams. The missing piece was being a coach.
It made so much sense. I had always mentored people.
In my twenties, I worked in the hospitality industry and led large teams. Many of the employees would come to me with their problems. I often didn't feel equipped to give them advice, so I just listened, asked questions, and gave them time and space to talk through their challenges.
I didn't realize it at the time, but I was coaching them.
I am a natural helper and cheerleader who loves to see others thrive.
I am empathetic, compassionate, and supportive, but also honest and authentic.
I have endless curiosity and ask powerful questions to get to the root of a problem or situation.
I am optimistic and believe in the potential of all my clients.
I am biased to action.
In short, I was born to be a coach.
Over the last few years, mentoring became a bigger part of my corporate career.
I helped colleagues at work and students in mentoring programs get clarity on their goals, design a path forward and acted as their accountability partner. Once again, I was coaching unofficially.
So during the pandemic, I decided to make it official. I went back to school to become a certified life coach by the Coach Training Alliance and started my own coaching business as a working mom coach.
My training has allowed me to develop a unique coaching style that draws from my coach training, my multi-faceted career, my strategic mindset, and my background in design thinking, a creative problem-solving methodology.
I also made changes in other areas of my own life.
I left the job that was no longer right for me and joined a global advisory firm in a Director role that I love.
I created space in my schedule to spend time with my husband and friends.
I started doing more of the things that I love and that fill my cup.
In short, I have started building the life I want instead of just dreaming of it.
And you can do it too.
